ソニーがアメリカに工場を建てる時、地鎮祭を行って
アメリカ人に「日本人は何をやってるんだろう」と疑問に思ったそうな。
「全ての土地には神が住む、我々は許しを乞うて工場を建てる」
とソニー側が説明したと言うお話。

ケンタッキーの社長（アメリカ人）は、毎年日本の鳥の神社にお参りする。
日本の総理大臣は、総理大臣に就任する時に必ず伊勢神宮に参拝（お伊勢参り）する。
江戸時代から現代に至るまで、全ての捕鯨した鯨に戒名をつけている。
